As a fully qualified hypnotherapist, counsellor and meditation teacher, Saj combines her expert knowledge and experience to tailor bespoke, holistic hypnotherapy sessions to suit individual needs. Treatments take place in a calm, comfortable environment at her base in Edinburgh where you will feel fully at ease.
How does hypnotherapy work?
While most talking therapies deal with the conscious mind, hypnotherapy focuses on the subconscious. And in order to reach this state of mind, you’ll be placed into a light trance state using hypnosis.
This light trance state is more familiar than you think. It’s actually very similar to how you feel right before you drift off to sleep at night.
Saj will begin by using relaxation techniques to guide you into hypnosis. Your body will soon feel deeply relaxed, but your mind will stay alert. This hypnotic state lessens the powerful effects of the conscious mind, allowing you to delve deep into your subconscious.
Once in this state, Saj will use various hypnosis methods to help identify what’s causing your problems, such as age regression, mindfulness and cognitive approach. She’ll work to uncover negative experiences and give you the tools needed to reprogram your thinking.
The lessons learned during hypnotherapy can – and should – be applied to everyday life. It will keep you feeling calm, confident and relaxed.

A fully qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor, Saj holds a Chrysalis Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills (Cert Hyp CS) from The National Hypnotherapy Society. She follows their fundamental principles to ensure full transparency with clients:

Honour the subjectivity of the therapy experience, honour the client’s subjectivity, views, beliefs, ideas, goals

Please bear in mind everyone responds different to therapy. While hypnotherapy is highly effective, it could take several sessions to work through the healing process. It requires commitment, focus and dedication – from both the therapist and the client.
